COLTS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, I'm not usually a big football fan but the Colts were playing Sunday and if they won it meant they would be going to the Super Bowl in Miami!!!! Pretty exciting, right? Guess what, the COLTS WON!!! We had my parents over along with my sister and her family to have a little football party. We had some typical football party food and watched the game!

The kids ran around playing and being way too loud but the had lots of fun as usual when they get together with their cousins. You would think they never see each other the way they can't wait to be together but that's not the case. We live practically next door and see each other almost everyday. Aden decided he had to get into his Mr. Incredible gear to show off his muscles to everyone, check em' out!! This meant Gracie had to wear her Cinderella dress as well! She loves to be dressed in one of her many dress up outfits that she was given for Christmas and there is no way she would allow Aden to be dressed up without her. Before the game Daddy took Aden & Gracie out to play in the snow. We had more snow than the last time, still not alot but enough that they built a snowman. Aden had fun trying to catch the snow on his tongue as it was falling! We had a blast!

Thanks Dad!

He needs a smile, Mom!

The snow is falling on my nose!

Playing in the Snow!!

O.K., so it pretty pathetic when this is the most snow we've gotten this year to play in, it is maybe 2 inches but were suppose to be happy with what we're given right? Today was my day to carpool Aden, Will and Olivia to school so Shannon ended up going with me since he had a client cancel a meeting he was suppose to have this morning. After dropping the kids off, Shannon, Gracie and I did some errands to keep busy while the kids were at school but I promised Aden and Gracie that after school and after we ate lunch I would let them go out and play in the snow before nap times. When I got them both out of bed this morning and showed them the snow they both wanted to go out immediately and make snow angels but of course we didn't have time for that until after school. We all bundled up and had a little fun! We made snow angels, walked around making paths, played on the slides and did a little swinging on the swings. The slides were a little slick so Aden was flying down them and just giggling when he landed flat on his back at the bottom. Guess who got cold first? Well, usually it's Aden, I think it's that Guatemalan blood because I've never seen a child get so cold, so quick. He usually doesn't appreciate the cold weather too much but not today it was Mommy!!! That's right! They talked me into staying out a little longer than I really wanted to but I finally enticed them in with a bribe. "Let's go in and have a treat", well it gradually worked but Aden had a better idea, "How about some Hot Cocoa Mom"! Now that was a great idea, one problem, Mommy didn't have any! Daddy suggested warming up milk with Hershey syrup, O.K. this could work and sure enough it did. We got out the little mugs filled them with milk, added some chocolate and warmed them in the microwave and to top them off we added some chocolate chips and marshmallows, hey now that worked!!

Sugarplums dancing in my head & That's a big one!

Last night as we were putting Aden to bed he was telling us that he wanted it to be Christmas again, he said that he had sugarplums dancing in his head! The things he says and does just make me laugh. You will begin to understand as I continue this blog on a regular basis. These are the little things that I know I will forget so here is a place I can record these things and never worry about forgetting. O.K. here is one on Gracie, now this is a little gross but it was so hilarious I just have to share. She went running to the potty with her BIG eyes, which mean this is serious. She was in there quite a while and finally she called, Mommy I'm done. I pooped in the potty, I didn't poop in my pants (she often says this because long after she was potty trained she would periodically poop in her pants even though she knew better). Anyhow she stood up from the potty and looked down inside and raising her arm as if in a cheer and said "that's a big one". Oh my goodness! This is suppose to be my sweet little girl but it sure did give Daddy and I a big laugh and of course big brother had to coming running to see too!

Starting a blog

Well, I've been contemplating starting a blog for several months but time after time, time gets away from me and I run out of time, hmmmmmmm. Anyway here I am, I'm going to give it a try. I really want a way to journal our day to day lives so we can remember the little things. Time passes by soooooo fast and the kids are growing up sooooooo fast, I know I won't be able to remember all the little things they are doing and saying. Maybe my tracking these little things here it will be a place to look back over the years and remember. So tonight I'm starting our families blog!
